| Does anyone know if the connector on the gen 6 celica abs speed sensor is the same as the gen 5 celica 4WS/ABS speed sensor? | |

| I used to work with a guy who forced a Ford ABS sensor to fit, don't know how but it worked | |

Would like to know more about this, could save me some money if done right Just so you might like to know, a brand new 4WS speed sensor from Toyota is $682 NZD!!!! Forgot to ask if i get some sort of warentee or something similar | |

Would just need to sort out the connector. I think that the difficulty is that the original sensor gave a balanced output whereas this sensor is open collector, so we need some elecronickery to interface the two together. My __very basic__ idea is something like this, but I don't know how well it will work. I'd tend to avoid this in the case of ABS as I'd not like to trust it in safety critical aspect.
