ST183 TEMS Lowering Springs Empty
PostSubject: ST183 TEMS Lowering Springs   ST183 TEMS Lowering Springs I_icon_minitimeFri Oct 02, 2009 10:53 am

As some may know, there is only one place that sells lowering springs for the ST183 with the TEMS suspension and there know as 'Cobra Springs.'

Apart from them, there arent anything out there but then found out a lot of springs are interchangable.

For a start, the most common are the ST182 springs. The only difference is 4WS and TEMS. Our TEMS in are ST183 are basically ST182 shocks but electronically controlled.
The Toyota part numbers are the same as ST183

Im not sure but its a possibility that ST185 springs could fit but its unknown whether how the spring rates for a AWD car would handle on a FWD car but if you want to adjust the ride height then this could work.
Again, part numbers appear to be the same.

Also, some say that lowering springs for an ST202 Celica fit onto are ST18X Celicas, again, part numbers match so could be true

Will not be held responsible if they don't fit!

ST183 TEMS Lowering Springs Empty
PostSubject: Re: ST183 TEMS Lowering Springs   ST183 TEMS Lowering Springs I_icon_minitimeTue Nov 10, 2009 6:21 pm

Not long ago, i popped down magandturbo, they said all st18x springs are interchangable with each other and interchangable with all st20x springs.

Also, am currently looking out for a st183 with TEMS and been recommended that if i lower it, i should get a brand new set of TEMS struts from toyota as the 20 year old ones will blow.

Makes sense i suppose, do Toyota still make them?
