| is it worth advancing my timing on my gen 2 3sge? i always use 98 octane, i was thinking advancing it to 13. Does it effect fuel economy? thanks | |

| Hard to say, problem is with gen 2 3sge's, they suffer real bad from detonation due to the high compression. Even on 98, i occasionally get it when its under load.
Only thing i can say it advance it a degree at a time, each time take it for a drive to make sure its all safe.
As for fuel economy, im not too sure. | |

| If your using it for everyday use, i'd play it safe and leave it as it is, last thing you want is engine detonation. | |
